FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Remove the steering stem nut and washer .
Remove the forks !page 14-13).
Remove the fork
top bridge.
Remove the steering stem adjusting nut using the
special tool.
TOOL:
Steering s tem socket 0791 6-3 710101 or
07702 · 00 20001
(U.S.A. onl y)
Remove the upper dust seal, upper tapered roller
bearing and steering stem.
Check the bearings and outer races for wear or
damage.
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Always replace the Remove the upper and lower bearing outer ra ces
bearingundraces from the head pipe using the special tools.
