Honda CRF450R 2007 Service Manual

STATOR
REMOVAL
Remove the left crankcase cover (page 12-4).
Remove the bolts, ignition pulse generator and
grommet from the left cr ankcase caver .
Remove the bolts and stator .
INSTALLATION
Place the stator / ignition pulse gene r ator into the left
crankcase cover.
Apply liquid sealant to the wire grommet seating
surface and install the grommet into the groove in
the left crankcase cover.
Apply locking agent to the ignition pulse generato r
and stator mounting bolt threads .
Tighten the ignition pulse generator and stator
mounting bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE:
Ignition pulse generator mounting bolt :
5.2 N'm (0.5 kgf ·m, 3.8 Ibf.ft)
Stator mounting bolt :
4.7 N'm (O .S kgf ·m, 3.5 Ibf.ft)
Install
the left crankcase cover (page 12-6).
FLYWHEEL
REMOVAL
Remove the left crankcase cover (page 12 -4).
Hold the flywheel with the spedal tool and remove
the nut and washer.

Remove the flywheel using the special tools.
