CLUTCH/STARTER CLUTCH/KICKSTARTER/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
Remove the shift drum center pin and shift dr um
center.
Remove the bolt, stopper arm, washer and return
spring.
Remove the dr um pin from the shift drum.
INSPECTION
GEARSHIFT SPINDLE
Check the gearshift spindle fo r bend, wear or dam-
age.
Check the return spring for fatigue or damage.
RATCHET PAWL
Remove the following:
- Guide plate
GUIDE PLATE
- Dr um shifter
- Ratchet pawls
- Plungers
- Springs
Clean the ratchet pawl A, ratchet pawl B, plungers,
springs and drum sh ifter with clean transmission
oil.
Check each part
for wear or damage.
App ly clean transmission oil to each parts.
Assemble the drum shifter, springs, plunge r s,
ratchet pawl A and ratchet paw l B in the guide plate L-"'''--_--'
as shown.
