MAINTENANCE
COOLING SYSTEM
Remove the fuel tank (page 3-8).
Remove the radiator
grill (page 7- B),
Check the radiator air passages f or clogging or dam -
age.
Straighten bent fins, and remove insects, mud or
other obstructions w it h compressed air or l ow
water pressur e.
Replace the radiator if the ai r flow is restricted over
more than 20 % of the radiating s urf ace.
Inspect the radiator hoses for cracks or deteriora- L ::;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ;;;;;;;; ~:;;;;;:::-:;;;;;;::- ___ _
tion, and replace th em if necessary.
Check the tightness of all wate r hose clamps (page
1-17).

Remove the right radiator shroud (page 3-4).
Check the ai r supply and PAIR air suction hoses for
damage or loose connector.
Check the vacu um hose between the cylinder head
vacuum joint and PAIR control valve for deteriora-
tion, damage
or loose connection.
Also check that the hose is not kinked or pinched.
