Remove the lete step bracket (page 15-30).
Inspect
the drive chain roilers for excessive wear or
binding.
SERVICE LIMIT :
Minimum ro ller 0 .0 .: Upp er: 39 mm 11 .5 In)
L owe r: 35 mm (1 .4 In)
Replace
the rollers if necessary. and tighten the
roller
bolt and nut to the specified torque .
TORQUE:
Dri ve chain ro ll er bo lt : 12 N'm 11 .2 kgf-m, 9 rbl· tt )
Dri\l8 chain roller nut: 12 N'm (1.2 kgf -m, 9 rbf· tt )
NOTE :
• Upper roller: Green
• Lower roller: Black
DRIVE/DRIVEN SPROCKET

Inspect the drive and driven sprocket teeth for wear ,------------------,

or damage, replace them if necessary.
Never use a new drive chain on worn sprockets.
Both chain and sprockets must be in good condi-
tion. or the new replacement chain will wear rap-
idly.
Check the bolts and nuts on the drive and driven
sprockets.
If any are loose, torque them.
TORQUE:
Driv e sprocket bolt:
31 N'm (3.2 kgf ·m, 23 IbUtl
Driv en sprocket nut :
32 N'm (3.3 k gf ·m. 24 Ibf.ftl
