3. Remove the handlebar and both handlebar stays as an
assembly.
• PKA type:
Remove the flywheel brake cable from the engine
(P. 5 -2
).
• VKA type:
Remove the flywheel brake cable from the engine
(P. 5 -2
) and the lower end of the Smart Drive cable
from the transmission.
• VYA type:
Remove flywheel brake cable from the engine
(P. 5 -4
), the lower end of the Smart Drive cable from
the transmission, and disconnect the battery charge
connector and cable ties from the handlebar (P. 2-30
).
• VYA type:
Remove the throttle cable from the engine (P. 11- 2 6
)
and the lower end of the Smart Drive cable from the
transmission.
4. Place the mower on wooden blocks to lift the rear
wheels off of the ground.
