HRN216 VARIABLE MOWING SYSTEM/ MOWER DECK/WHEELS
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the spark plug cap (P. 3 - 8).
2. VKA/VLA types:
Remove the blades, blade holder, and belt guide, and
then remove the drive belt from the drive pulley
(P. 4-13
).
VYA type:
Remove the drive belt from the drive pulley.
a. Remove the blades.
b. Remove the top cover (P. 4-13
) and recoil starter
(P. 4-13
).
c. Hold the flywheel nut with a 19 mm socket while
removing the Roto-Stop special blade holder bolt. If
the flywheel nut loosens, be sure to tighten to the
proper torque during reassembly (P. 9 - 8
).
d. Remove the Roto-Stop brake assembly (P. 4 - 6
).
