Problems Starting the PC
Problem Possible cause To try and fix this ...
During startup the PC hangs (freezes). You may have added an
incompatible memory
module.
1 Disconnect the PC’s power cord.
2 Remove the PC’s cover (see page 44).
3 Remove or replace the memory module (see
page 59).
4 Reconnect the PC’s power cord and start up
the PC.
You may have added an
incompatible expansion
card.
1 Disconnect the PC’s power cord.
2 Remove the PC’s cover (see page 44).
3 Remove the expansion card (see page 60).
4 Reconnect the PC’s power cord and start up
the PC.
You might have made
changes to the PC’s Setup
program.
1 Enter the Setup program by pressing
F2
when prompted during startup.
2 Reload the factory settings by pressing
F9
.
3 Press
F10
to exit the Setup program saving
changes.
When you start the PC, you get a "non-
system disk" or "operating system not
found" message
There is a non-bootable
floppy disk in your floppy
drive
1 Remove the floppy disk.
2 Restart the PC.
If the problem persists, contact your authorized support provider
