has
been
tested to various
national
and
international
regulatory

This regulatory
testing
in-
cludes
electrical/mechanical
safely,
radio
interference, ergonomics,
acoustics,
and
hazardous
materials.
Where
required, approvals
ob-
tained
from
third-party
test agencies are
shown
on
the
product
label.
In
addition,
various regulatory
bodies
require
some
of
the
information
under
the
following

U.S.A. Radio Frequency
Interference
The
HP-18C
generates
and
uses
radio
frequency
energy
and
may
cause interference to
radio
and
television
reception
.
Although
the
HP-18C
has
been
tested
and
found
to comply
with
the
limits for a
Class B
computing
device in accordance
with
the
specifications in
Subpart
J
of
Part
15
of
FCC Rules,
which
are
designed
to
provide
reasonable
protection
against
such
interference
in
a residential instal-
lation,
there
is
no
guarantee
that
interference will
not
occur in a
particular
installation. In
the
unlikely
event
that
there
is interference
to
radio
or
television
reception
(which
can
be
determined
by
turning
the
HP-18C
off
and
on
or
by
removing
the
batteries), you are
encour-
aged
to correct
the
interference
by
one
or
more
of
the
following
measures
:
• Reorient
the
receiving
antenna
.
• Relocate
the
product
with
respect to
the
receiver.
