Using
Number
Lists
You
can
think
of
a
number
list
both
as a collection
of
numbers,
and
as
a location in calculator
memory
where
the
numbers
are stored.*
The
HP
-18C
has
a variety
of
features to
help
you use
number
lists
effectively.
Some
of
these
features are
covered
in
this
chapter
and
demonstrated
in
the
examples.
The
rest
of
the
features
are
explained
in
chapter
7.
Cash Flow Diagrams and Signs
of
Numbers
The
sign
conventions
used
for
cash
flow calculations are
the
same
as
those
used
in
time
value
of
money
calculations. Figure 5-3 illustrates a
typical series
of
cash
flows. Situations of this type,
where
there
are
no
consecutive,
equal
cash
flows, are called simple
cash
flows
.

The
HP-18C can store two types
of
number
lists-SUM
and
CFLO.
