D When conguring the remote control system through a LAN
If you congure the remote control system through a LAN, Remote stations can access the Server using its
computer name or IP address.
The example below describes how to nd out the PC (Server)’s computer name, or IP address, to be requested
by Remote stations.
When you congure the remote system, Remote stations can access the Server using its IP address, computer
name, network name, or domain name.
IP address: 192.168.0.10
Computer name: Base PC
PC
Icom radio
PC
(Server)
Request “192.168.0.10”(IP address)
or “Base PC”(Computer name)
Router
Base station
Remote station
To let Remote stations access the Server using its computer name
A computer name is used on networks to identify a particular workstation on the network.
Find out your PC’s computer name to let Remote stations access the Server using it.
1. Click the folder icon on the taskbar.
2. Right-click “This PC,” and then click “Properties.
3. The “System” screen appears, then conrm the
name that is displayed in the Computer name
