NOTE
• Set the remote control mode selector to
AUDIO before using the number buttons.
• For a VCD or SVCD, this operation can be carried
out when the disc is stopped, or during playback
without the PBC function.
• For a DVD AUDIO, CD, MP3 or JPEG, this operation
can also be carried out when the disc/file is stopped.
• This operation may not be carried out for some discs.
Designate the chapter number or
track number to play during
playback.
Refer to “How to use the number buttons” on page 18.
Press 7 during playback.
Press 8 during playback.
To resume normal playback, press DVD/CD 3.

Each time you press the button, picture will be
advanced frame-by-frame.
There are two methods.
• Press 1 or ¡ during
playback.
Each time you press the button, the speed
increases. To restore the normal speed, press
DVD/CD 3.
• Hold down 4 or ¢.
Fast reverse/Fast forward search can be carried
out only while the button is pressed.
NOTE
• For some discs/files, sound is intermittent or no
sound is produced during fast reverse/fast forward
search.
• The selectable speeds and displays vary by the
disc/file type.
