12 Decommissioning and removal
12.1 Switching off the device
DANGER
Lethal voltages are still present in the connections and cables of the device even after
the device has been switched off and disconnected!
Severe injuries or death may occur if the cables and/or terminals/busbars in the device are touched.
1. The device must be mounted in a fixed position before being connected electrically.
2. Observe all safety regulations and current technical connection specifications of the responsible
power supply company.
3. The device may only be opened and serviced by an authorized electrician.
4. Switch off the grid voltage by turning off the external circuit breakers.
5. Check that all AC and DC cables are completely free of current using a clip-on ammeter.
6. Do not touch the cables and/or terminals/busbars when switching the device on and off.
7. Keep the device closed when it is in operation.
WARNING
Risk of burns from hot housing components
Housing components could heat up during operation.
1. Only touch the housing cover of the device during operation.
12.2 Uninstalling the device
DANGER
Dangerous voltage due to two operating voltages
Severe injuries or death may occur if the cables and/or terminals/busbars in the device are touched.
The discharge time of the capacitors is up to 5 minutes.
1. Only appropriately qualified electricians authorized by the mains supply network operator are per-
mitted to open and maintain the device.
2. Before opening the device: Disconnect the AC and DC side and wait at least 5 minutes.
The device is switched off and a check has been performed to ensure that it is de-energized.
AC cable disconnected AC connection [See section11.6.1}Page97].
DC connection disconnected DC connection [See section11.6.2}Page97].
1. Undo the cable fittings for Ethernet cables [ W_29].
2. Unfasten the cable bolts for RS485 cables [ W_20].
3. Disconnect the plug from the communication circuit board.
4. Pull the interface cables out of the device.
5. Insert sealing plugs into all open cable fittings.
ð The device has been uninstalled. Proceed with removal.
12.3 Removing the device
Device has been switched off and uninstalled.
1. Remove the screw that prevents the device from being lifted off the mount.
