Using the Darning Plate
Sometimes when you sew, you want to control the fabric
yourself. The darning plate covers the feed dogs so the
feed dogs do not touch the fabdc.
To put on the darning plate:
Position the darning plate with the pins on the buttorn.
Fit the darning plate pins into the needle prate hotes.
NOTE:
The rectangular holes in the darning plate match the
holes in the needle plate.

Attach the darning plate and remove the presser foot.
Center the hole in the fabric on an embroideryhoop, a_
shown. Lower the presser bar and sew at a slow speed.
Move the fabric back and forth slowly until the darning area
is covered. Turn the fabric a 1/4 turn (90°), and sew
another layer of stitching over the first layer.
