k Install or remove the testing instrument
after the exhaust manifold temperature has
lowered.
1. Remove the engine compartment side cover
and exhaust manifold cover.
2. Remove exhaust temperature pickup plug (1)
from the side of the center of the exhaust man-
ifold.
3. Install sensor [1] of digital thermometer R and
connect it to thermometer [2].
4. Run the engine and test the exhaust tempera-
ture over the speed range.
5. After finishing test, remove the testing instru-
ment and return the removed parts.
