a Prepare an oil pan of about 20 l to receive the
fuel flowing out during the test.
1. Preparation work
1) Remove tube (3) and spill hose (4)
between common rail (1) and return block
(2).
2) Insert spacer G1 on return block (2) side
and tighten the removed joint bolt again.
a Be sure to fit the gaskets to both ends
of the spacer.
3) Insert joint G2 on common rail (1) side and
tighten the removed joint bolt again.
a Be sure to fit the gaskets to both ends
of the joint.
4) Connect test hose G4 to the end of joint
G2.
5) Connect test hose G5 to connector (6)
side of spill hose (4).
a Bind the connecting part of the test
hose with a wire etc. to prevent it from
coming off.
a Lay test hose G4 so that it will not
slacken and put its end in the oil pan.
6) Remove spill hose connector joint (5) and
install plug G3.
a The above is the preparation work for
test of the leakage from the pressure
limiter and return rate from the injec-
tor.
