5.1 Assembly
Warning
Danger of accidents Loading luggage can significantly affect the handling characteristics.
Luggage affects the handling, cornering and braking characteristics, particularly when fully laden, and
increases crosswind sensitivity.
– Ride especially carefully in strong wind.
– Slowly accelerate to the permitted maximum speed.
Maximum speed with luggage mounted 130 km/h (80.8 mph)
Warning
Danger of accidents Overloading, a one-sided payload, or the topcase slipping impairs handling characte-
ristics.
If the topcase opens while riding, luggage or items can fall out and endanger road users behind.
– Comply with the maximum permitted payload.
Loading the topcase 5 kg (11 lb.)
– Make sure that the topcase is firmly closed while riding.
– Do not use the topcase if the topcase is damaged.

When cleaning with a pressure cleaner, maintain a distance of at least half a meter from the top case and
use a neutral cleaning agent (water with neutral soap).
Condition
The luggage rack 60612910044 (not included) is required to
mount the Top Case.
