FRONT DRIVE SHAFT
REOMVAL/INSPECTION/
INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
Remove the steering knuckle (refer to the
“STEERING KNUCKLE
REMOVAL/INSPECTION/
INSTALLATION” section in the chapter
14).
Remove the front drive shaft from front
drive assembly.
INSPECTION
Inspect the boots, circlip and boot bands for
wear or damage.
If any damages are found, replace them with
new ones.
Inspect the double off-set joint spline for
wear or damage.
If any damages are found, replace them with
new ones.

If it is difficult to remove the front drive
shaft by hand, use the special tools.
