5 Functional Description with Process Diagrams
After the pre-ventilation time has elapsed, the compound moves to the ignition point and the
pilot burner is started. The spark igniter remains active throughout the stabilisation time and
the entire purging time. The fuel valves do not open.
The purging time starts after the stabilisation time. The purging valve opens immediately and
the channels move to the purging position.
Alternatively, a purging position can be configured in P xxx. In this case, the purging starts not
before this position has been reached.
After the delay time for opening the fuel valves (P xxx) has elapsed, the fuel valves move to
the upper range limit. If the value 0 is set, the fuel valves remain in the purging position.
The atomiser valve, as defined in the parameter, remains active throughout the entire burning
and purging period and is monitored with the input ’atomizer air pressure > min.’ if mapped.
After activation of the ignition valve, an irrelevance time of 3 s for the atomiser air pressure
expires. The atomiser air pressure is only monitored when using fuel oil.
5.2.3.6 Purging Oil Gun during Standby Operation and Fuel Changeover by Pilot Burner
The oil gun must be purged during a changeover via pilot burner and in standby mode. In
these modes, both the spark igniter and the pilot valves are always opened before the fuel
valves close.
After the stabilisation time has elapsed, the fuel valve closes and the oil gun purging process
then starts. The atomiser valve remains active until the end of the purging.
5.2.3.7 Operating Modes for the 'Purging Fuel Train Function
Purging takes place:
After operation
During changeover via OFF from oil to gas: Purging after operation.
During changeover via pilot burner from oil to gas: Purging into the pilot flame.
In the standby mode for oil operation: Purging into the pilot flame.
In OFF mode: Activation takes place by a special signal (V1.2.0.0 and higher).
5.2.4 Pilot Burner - Continuous Operation
If the pilot burner is configured for continuous operation, the pilot valve remains open even
after the end of the 2
nd
safety time.
NOTICE
The pilot flame must be monitored separately.
5.2.4.1 Requirements
NOTICE
The function has to be mapped.
5.2.4.2 Required Inputs/Outputs
