A Best Shot Selector (BSS)
The “best shot selector” is convenient for shooting
in situations where inadvertent camera movement
can result in blurred pictures.
At [On] setting, the flash automatically turns off and
focus, exposure, and white balance for all pictures
are determined by the first picture in each series.
The icon for the current setting is displayed in the monitor (c 6).
j Note on Best Shot Selector
BSS may not produce the desired results if the subject moves or the composition changes
while the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down.
A On
Recommended for taking pictures in poorly lit places, or in other situations
where camera shake may occur. Camera takes shots while shutter-release but-
ton is pressed, to a maximum of ten. These images are then compared and the
sharpest picture (picture with highest level of detail) is saved.
H Off (default setting)
Only one picture is taken.
