CHAPTER 2 OPERATION
Precautions for Setting
the
Paper
1.
Always
use
a
good
quality paper (standard pound paper)
of
60
to
90
g/m
2
(16
to
24 pound) weight.
2.
The Cut-Sheet Feeder can accommodate a paper stack
of
up
to
16
mm
in
total
thickness (170 sheets
of
16 lb paper).
3.
A single solid sheet
can
be handled. Do
not
use
multiple-part paper.
4.
Always load paper
of
the
same
weight
into
one hopper
to
make
sure
the
sheets
feed properly.
5.
Do
not
use
folded, dog-eared, creased
or
distorted sheets.
6.
Do
not
feed sheets
of
several different
sizes
at
the
same
time.
7.
Set sheets properly
into
the
hopper
to
bring the lowermost sheet
into
contact
with
the
stopper.
8.
When
the
paper set lever
is
turned
to
the
"SET"
position, make sure
the
right and
left
stoppers are firmly on
the
paper. The paper set lever
must be gently turned
toward
the
"SET"
position
to
prevent the
stopper
from
flipping the sheets
out
of
place.
9.
Do
not
leave paper in
the
hopper
for
a long time. The sheets may curl
due
to
change in temperature
or
humidity.
10.
Store packed paper on a
flat
surface in a cool,
dry
place until needed.
After
a package
is
opened, store
the
unused paper in a plastic bag
to
protect
it
from
humidity.
