I Battery Level Indicator
*The battery level indicator displays the amount
of power left in the rechargeable battery. It
flashes when the battery is almost empty.
l This indicator is not recorded on the tape.

2 Status Displays
l REC appears when the camcorder is recording.
l PAUSE flashes when the camcorder is in
record pause.
l FF appears when the tape is fast forwarding,
and REW appears when the tape is rewinding.
l STOP appears when the camcorder is stopped
during playback.
l PLA Y appears when the camcorder is playing
back a tape.

Display
l A larger REC or PAUSE briefly flashes
below the status display area when you start
or stop recording to let you know that the
AUTO LOCK switch is in AUTO LOCK.
l These displays are not recorded on the tape.

3 Preset Program Mode Indicators
l Repeatedly press the MODE SEL. button to
select one of the camcorder’s preset program
modes. The AUTO LOCK switch must be out
of A UT0 LOCK.
l The indicator for the mode selected will
appear in the viewfinder. No indicator
appears when auto mode is selected.
l The indicator is not recorded on the tape.
