5.1.2 Proper mounting

Incorrect mounting
The device can be damaged, destroyed, or its functionality impaired through improper
mounting.
● Before installing ensure there is no visible damage to the device.
● Make sure that process connectors are clean, and suitable gaskets and glands are used.
● Mount the device using suitable tools. Refer to the information in Technical data
(Page 49).
5.1.2.1 Process connections
Process connections are available with three thread types:
● 2" NPT [(Taper), ASME B1.20.1]
● R 2" [(BSPT), EN 10226]
● G 2" [(BSPP), EN ISO 228-1]

Process connection type
The thread type can be found on the device process connection, defined by a letter in the
mold, near the end of the threads.
N=NPT
B=R2/BSPT
P=G2/BSPP/PF2
1. Before inserting device into its mounting connection, ensure threads are of the same type
to avoid damaging them.
2. Screw device into process connection and hand tighten, or use a strap wrench to seat
gasket if required (1/4 turn past hand tight is recommended).
