How to work with the IMS image store system*
The IMS Image Store System allows the digital storage of
both single X-ray images of the HI-SCAN X-ray unit and
images of all scanned baggage or freight items (standard
Online recording) on the storage disk (hard disk) of the in-
tegrated electronics without any loss of quality.
Additionally, the images of all scanned baggage or freight
items can be stored
– on a supplementary, removable image data archive*
(Online recording RIDA*) as well as
– via network* on a central image data archive (Online
recording CIDA*)
for the purpose of training and archiving.
It is also possible to initiate an automatic storage of the images transmitted by you with
H to the recheck or
analyst stations* according to the different evaluation results.
X-ray images stored on the X-ray unit can be recalled on the monitor of the X-ray unit. Higher access level
users can copy them to ZIP disks*, CDs* or USB memories* or transfer them digitally to other computer sys-
tems via a network*.
Store images
The current image, i.e. the image of the object
scanned last is stored in the category Clipboard when
you press
S.

If a priority key is assigned to the function FRAME OBJECT* (F 1-50) you can provide suspicious
objects with a red/yellow frame before you store or transfer it.

Attention!
Do not store the image until it has been displayed completely on the monitor. This means that the
empty section you are used to seeing behind the bag image has been created and the scroll has
been stopped for at least a short moment! Otherwise, the image of the preceding baggage item
might unintentionally be stored! 1070

The Online recording functions and the
storage of the images transmitted to the
recheck or analyst stations* can only be
started and stopped by higher access
level users. The same applies to the re-
call of these images. Furthermore, the
storage, recall and print* functions for
single images can be deactivated by the
higher access level users so that you
may possibly not be able to use the func-
tions referred to in the following.

If the HI-SCAN unit is connected to a
Central Image Data Archive CIDA* via a
data network, the current image will be
simultaneously transferred to this
archive with
S.
