TRANSPOSE - The transpose feature can shift the pitch of the keyboard
up or down in semitone intervals up to a maximum of 12
semitones, one octave. Transposing the pitch of the keyboard
makes it easier to play in difficult key signatures.
Please note, transpose does not affect notes that are sounding,
or the keyboard percussion.
1. Press the TRANSPOSE button, the indicator will turn on and the
display screen will show the current transpose value.
2. Use the + button to increase the level or the – button to decrease
the level from –12, one octave lower, to 12, one octave higher, or
continue pressing the TRANSPOSE button to cycle through the
values. The number pad can also be used to directly enter a
value ranged from 00 to 12. Press the +, – buttons simulta-
neously to recover the default setting of 00, and disengage the
TRANSPOSE button.
3. After three seconds the display screen will recover to the default
voice screen.
TOUCH - The piano offers four types of keyboard touch sensitivity set-
tings, soft, normal, hard, and off. These are also known as veloc-
ity or dynamic curves and are designed to suit your style of play-
ing.
Curve 1 (Hard) is a less sensitive keyboard response which requires
a heavier touch to obtain maximum sound levels.
Curve 2 (Normal) is an intermediate response suitable for most styles
of music. Normal is the default setting.
Curve 3 (Soft) is the most sensitive keyboard response which permits
maximum sound levels with a light touch.
Off does not offer any touch sensitivity. Each key plays at full volume
no matter how hard the piano key is hit. It is commonly used on
Harpsichord and Organ voices.
1. The normal setting is selected automatically when the piano is
turned on. Press the TOUCH button, the indicator will turn off and
the touch feature will be disengaged.
2. Press the TOUCH button again so that the display screen shows
the currently selected velocity curve number with a “C-” prefix.
3. Use the + button to increase the curve number or the – button to
decrease the number. You may also use the numeric pad to enter
a value 1-3. Press the –/+ buttons simultaneously to recover the
default setting of C-2, normal.
