Driptraysforcollectionofcondensatewaterareinstalledunderplateheatexchangerandcoolingcoil.Each
driptrayisprovidedwithadrainageoutlet.Awatertrapisalwaysnecessary.Toavoidfreezeupsandfrost
burstsofwatertrapandpipes,sufficientinsulationisrecommended
andinstallationofheatingbetween
theinsulationandwatertrap/pipescouldevenbenecessary(insulation,heatingandcontrollerforthe
heatingarenotdeliveredbySystemair).
i.4.6Drainingcondensatewaterfromplateheatexchanger
Condensatefromtheplateheatexchangeriscollectedinthedriptray.Heavynegativeairpressure
inthis
sectionpreventsthewaterfromflowingoutofthedrainpipe.Awatertrapwithsufficientclosinglevelof
thewaterisessentialtoensurethatcondensatewaterflowsoutoftheunit.Theclosinglevelofthewater
trapmustbeestimatedcorrectlytoensuresafeescapeofthe
water(seetheillustrationandestimatethe
minimumclosinglevelaccordingtothetable).Thepipediameterofthewatertrapandsewagesystemmust
beidenticaltothepipediam eterofthedrainageoutletfromthetray.
Awatertrapisoptionalandinstallationofthewatertrapisnot
included.
