These
are
re-
commended
precautions that
personnel
must
understand
and
apply
during
many
phases of
operation
and
maintenance.
KEEY AWAY FROM
LIVE CIRCUITS
Electrical-shock
hazards are present in this instrument.
Operating personnel must
observe safety regulations at all
times and should not remove
the protective covers unless
they are qualified maintenance
personnel.
Do
not replace
components
or repair the instrument unless
it
is discon-
nected from
the
line
voltage source
and turned
off. Under
certain conditions
some components may retain dangerous
potentials even when the instrument
is
unplugged
and
turned off. To prevent
shocks, discharge and ground
circuits
that
are
being repaired.
DO NOT SERVICE OR ADJUST
ALONE
Do
not service or
make internal adjustments
to
this
instrument unless another person capable of
giving
first
aid and resusitation is present.
DO NOT OPERATE
IN
EXPLOSIVE
ATMOSPHERE
Do
not operate
this
instrument
in an area
where flam-
mable gases or
fumes are
present. Such
operation could
cause an explosion.
