Owner Responsibilities
During the warranty period the owner is responsible for:
• Premium or overtime labor costs
Costs to investigate complaints which are not caused by a defect in Perkins material or workmanship
Perkins Responsibilities
During the warranty period, if a defect in material or workmanship of an emission related
part or component is found, Perkins will provide:
• New, remanufactured or replacement parts and / or components, approved pursuant to EPA
Regulations, required to correct the defect.
• Items replaced under this warranty automatically become the property of Perkins.
• Reasonable and customary labor, during normal working hours, required to make the
warranty repair. This includes labor to remove and install the engine if necessary.
Responsibilities and Limitations
The warranty is subject to the following:
Costs to investigate complaints which are not caused by a defect in Perkins material or workmanship
• Provide timely notice of a warrantable failure and promptly making the product available for repair
Limitations
The emissions-related parts covered by this warranty are:
Fuel injection system
Air / fuel ratio control system
Cold start enrichment system
Intake manifold
Turbocharger system
Change air cooling system (if equipped)
Exhaust manifold
Positive crankcase ventilation system, including PCV valve and oil filler cap (if equipped)
Electronic control nodule, including sensors and personality module (if equipped)
Miscellaneous hoses, clamps, connectors and sealing gaskets or devices used in the above systems.
