LIMITED WARRANTY
Perkins warrants to the initial owner and subsequent owners of a certified non road diesel engine
(powering non road machines and equipment) that such engine is:
1. Designed, built and equipped so as conform, at the time of sale, with all applicable regulations
adopted by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the California Air Resources
Board (CARB)
2. Free from defects in materials and workmanship in specific emission related parts for:
-All engines rated under 19kW for a period of 2 years of use or 1500 hours of operation, whichever
occurs first, after date of delivery to the initial owner or
-Constant speed engines rated under 37kW with rated speeds grater than or equal to 3000 rev/min for a
period of 2years of use or 1500 hours of operation, whichever occurs first, after date of delivery to the
initial owner or
-All other engines for a period of 5years of use or 3000 hours of operation, whichever occurs first, after
date of delivery to the initial owner.
If an emission related part fails during the warranty period it will be repaired, or replaced. Any such part
repaired or replaced under warranty is warranted for the remainder of the warranty period specified in (2)
above.
During the term of this warranty Perkins will provide through a Perkins distributor or the distributor of
the original equipment manufacturer or other establishment authorized by Perkins, repair or replacement
of any warranted part at no charge to the owner of the engine.
In an emergency, repairs may be performed at any service establishment, or by the owner, using any
replacement part. The owner should ensure that such parts are equivalent in design and durability to
genuine Perkins parts. Use of non Perkins pars does not invalidate the overall warranty. However,
Perkins is not liable under the warranty for parts which are non genuine Perkins parts.
Perkins will reimburse the owner for their expenses, including diagnostic changes for such emergency
repair. These expenses shall not exceed Perkins retail price for all warranted parts replaced, and labor
charges based on the Perkins repair time schedule for the warranty repair and the geographically
appropriate hourly labor late.
As a condition of reimbursement replaced parts and receipted invoices must be presented at a place of
business of a Perkins Distributor or other establishment authorized by Perkins.
