CHECKING THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL/
CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL
6. Start the engine, warm it up for several min-
utes, and then turn it off.
7. Check the engine oil level again.
NOTE:
_
Before checking the engine oil level, wait a few
minutes until the oil has settled.

CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL
1. Start the engine, warm it up for several min-
utes, and then turn it off.
2. Place a container under the engine oil drain
bolt.
3. Remove:
• dipstick 1
• engine oil drain bolt 2
(along with the gasket)
• engine oil drain plug 3
• O-ring 4
• spring 5
• engine oil strainer 6
NOTE:
When only changing the engine oil, remove
engine oil drain bolt only.
4. Drain:
• engine oil
(completely from the crankcase)
5. Check:
• engine oil strainer
Dirt → Clean.
6. Check:
• engine oil drain bolt gasket
Damage → Replace.
7. Install:
• engine oil drain bolt
(along with the gasket)
• spring
• engine oil strainer
• O-ring
• engine oil drain plug
