1.6 Example project for remote I/O expansion with PROFINET
This example introduces the configuration of the PLC with remote I/O. The use of I/O channels
in a program and commissioning of the configuration is shown.
1.6.1 Preconditions
● Automation Builder is installed and licensed as, at least, standard edition.
● AC500 V2 CPU is assembled and connected to the PC

1.6.2 Set-up PROFINET controller
1.6.2.1 Add the CM579-PNIO to the device tree
1. In the Automation Builder device tree under “Extension_Bus”, right-click “Slot_1”.
2. Select “Add object”.
3. Select “CM579-PNIO”.
