3.4.3.8 Other functions
The configuration includes few instances of multipurpose protection function
MAPGAPC, high-impedance fault detection function PHIZ, runtime counter for
machines and devices MDSOPT and different types of timers and control functions.
These functions are not included in application configuration but they can be added
based on the system requirements.
3.5 Standard configuration C
3.5.1 Applications
The standard configuration for non-directional overcurrent and non-directional earth-
fault protection is mainly intended for cable and overhead-line feeder applications in
directly or resistance-earthed distribution networks.
The IED with a standard configuration is delivered from the factory with default
settings and parameters. The end user flexibility for incoming, outgoing and internal
signal designation within the IED enables this configuration to be further adapted to
different primary circuit layouts and the related functionality needs by modifying the
internal functionality using PCM600.
