3.6.3.8 Other functions
The configuration includes few instances of multi-purpose protection function
MAPGAPC, high impedance fault detection function PHIZ, runtime counter
MDSOPT and different types of timers and control functions. These functions are not
included in application configuration but they can be added based on the system
requirements.
3.7 Standard configuration E
3.7.1 Applications
The standard configuration for non-directional overcurrent and directional earth-fault
protection is mainly intended for cable and overhead-line feeder applications in
isolated and resonant-earthed distribution networks. The configuration also includes
additional options for selecting earth-fault protection based on admittance or
wattmetric-based principles.
The IED with a standard configuration is delivered from the factory with default
settings and parameters. The end user flexibility for incoming, outgoing and internal
signal designation within the IED enables this configuration to be further adapted to
different primary circuit layouts and the related functionality needs by modifying the
internal functionality using PCM600.
