Connection to handler
Chapter 4. Connecon to handler
The E-PGM+, E-GANG4/6 and E-PGM Serial is designed to maximize the efficiency of device
programming when connected with a handler—an automated mass-production machine. The connected
handler receives the Enter button signal and communication signals (DSDA, DSCL) required for device
programming from the programming equipment (E-PGM+, E-GANG4/6 and E-PGM Serial). This ensures
signals from a single unit of E-PGM+, E-GANG4/6, or E-PGM Serial are delivered to multiple devices
configured in parallel on the handler and thus all those devices are programmed simultaneously. The
hardware description for handler connection is provided below:
4.1 E‐PGM+ handler connecons
• 3.3V Power output
• Output > Good/Fail indicator signal (active “L”)
• Input > Start key (active “L”)
