2-24 System Utilities
Using UUID Tools 0
The UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) Tool copies BIOS information to EEPROM
(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory). Used in the DMI Pool data for
hardware management.
To use
UUID,
perform the following:
1. Unzip UUID package tool to USB Flash Disk.
2. Boot from USB and excute stuuid20.exe under DOS mode. (Figure 2-28)
3. Execute stuuid20 s 1 0 (where 1 is the PCI bus and 0 is the device ID).

4. At the command prompt, run VEEPROM.exe to write any changes in the data to the
EEPROM.
