Use only wheel studs with the
same length code number.
Do not oil or grease the wheel
studs.
Avoid damage to brake lines,
brake disc, brake pads or the
wheel when installing.
Important for BMW Integral
ABS
OE
: do not damage the ABS
sensor cable, ABS sensor ring
or sensor.

Optional extra
Check that the wheel center-
ing spigot and the wheel hub
contact face are clean and
free from grease
Important for BMW Integral
ABS

, push spacing washer
3 on to the wheel centering
spigot
Insert the rear wheel in the
centering spigot bore
Screw in the four wheel
studs 1 with taper rings 2
hand-tight, then tighten to the
specified preload torque in
diagonally opposite sequence
Tighten the wheel studs 1 to
final torque in diagonally
opposite sequence
Installing the rear wheel
