Washing the motorcycle
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and lift the motor-cycle
onto its side stand
Clean the wheels, engine,
gearbox and swinging arm with
a mild detergent, following its
manufacturer's instructions
Thoroughly dry all wet
surfaces
Clean fairing elements only
with cleaning and care pro-
ducts from the BMW Cleaning
and Care Set
Do not use solvents or clean-
ing products on the instru-
ment cluster, switches or
windscreen
Remove tar splashes only
with an approved product –
rinse thoroughly with water
afterwards.
Clean flies and other insects
off the fork stanchions
Treat painted and chromed
parts regularly with suitable
care products
d Warning:
After cleaning or before start-
ing a journey, always test the
brakes.
