Replacing air filter
element
d Warning:
Avoid damage to fuel tank,
wiring and hoses during re-
moval work.
• Make sure the ground is level
and firm and lift the motor-
cycle onto its side stand
• Remove left and right side
trim panels (
b 38)
• Disconnect flexible intake-air
duct 6
• Remove securing screw 4
from intake air pipe 3
• Release the fuel tank
fasteners 1 at left/right
• Raise the fuel tank 5 slightly
with great care
• Remove securing screws 2
on left and right from intake air
pipe 3
• Disconnect intake air pipe 3
from air filter cover.
