Using the Zoom
The zoom can be adjusted from 38 mm to 114 mm in
35mm film equivalent terms.
Wide/Telephoto Angle
: Wide-angle
Press the zoom
lever left to zoom
out for a wide-
angle shot.
Wide-angle Telephoto
Digital Zoom
When the LCD monitor is on you can digitally zoom in on
a subject. The combined optical and digital zoom is
approximately 11 times the wide angle setting (p. 82).
Digital zoom is unavailable in some modes (p. 212).
Images become coarser, the more they are digitally
zoomed.
