Octave Shift lets you raise or lower the pitch of the keyboard
notes of each part (page EN-14) in octave units.
• The octave shift setting range is –2 to +2 octaves.
1.
Keep pressing co LAYER until the screen
shown below appears on the display.
2.
Use the bo dial to select the part whose pitch
you want to change.
3.
Press bp ENTER.
This displays the NUM indicator.
4.
Use the bo dial to shift the octave.
5.
Press bp ENTER to apply your setting.
This causes the NUM indicator to disappear.
6.
To exit the setting screen, press bq TONE.
• This Octave Shift setting changes automatically when some
tones are selected. For details, see the “Key Octave Shift”
column of the tone list in the separate “Built-in Music Data
Lists”.
You can use the procedure below to select from among 17
preset scales, including the standard Equal Temperament.

• Changing to a scale other than equal temperament causes
a mark (
K
) to appear next to “SCALE” on the right side of
the display.
