F Pressthebrakepedalforvehicleswith
anelectronicorautomaticgearbox,or
fullydeclutchforvehicleswithamanual
gearbox.
Starting the engine
For Diesel vehicles, in
temperaturesbelowzerothe
enginewillnotstartuntilthepreheater
warninglamphasgoneoff.
Ifthiswarninglampcomesonafter
pressing"START/STOP",youshould
holdthebrakeorclutchpedaldown
untilthewarninglampgoesoffand
donotpresstheSTART/STOPbutton
again.
Ifoneofthestartingconditionsisnot
met,aremindermessageappearsin
theinstrumentpanelscreen.Insome
circumstances,itisnecessarytoturn
thesteeringwheelslightlywhilepressing
the"START/STOP"buttontoassist
unlockingofthesteering;amessage
warnsyouwhenthisisneeded.
F Briefly press the "START/STOP"
button.
 Thesteeringcolumnunlocksand
theenginestartsmoreorless
immediately(seetheadvicefor
Dieselversions).
