Indicator and warning lamps
Certainwarninglampsmaycomeonin
oneoftwomodes:fixed(continuous)or
flashing.
Onlybyrelatingthetypeofillumination
to the operation of the vehicle can it
bedeterminedwhetherthesituationis
normalorafaulthasoccurred.Inthe
eventofafault,theilluminationofthe
warninglampmaybeaccompaniedby
amessage.

pagesformoreinformation.
Visualindicatorsinformingthedriverofthe
statusofasystem(operationordeactivation
indicatorlamp)ortheexistenceofafault
(warninglamp).
When the ignition is switched on
Certainwarninglampscomeonforafew
secondsintheinstrumentpanelwhenthe
vehicle'signitionisswitchedon.
Whentheengineisstarted,thesesame
warninglampsshouldgooff.
Iftheyremainon,beforemovingoff,refertothe
informationonthewarninglampconcerned.
Associated warnings
Theswitchingonofcertainwarninglampsmay
beaccompaniedbyanaudiblesignalanda
message.
Thewarninglampsmaycomeoncontinuously
(fixed)orflash.
Thepositionofthewarninglampsinthe
type2instrumentpaneldependsonthe
colourschemeselected.
