5. CONFIGURING THE ECL 2000
This chapter tells you how to configure the ECL 2000 after the electrical wiring
has been carried out.
Chapter 6, page 35 describes the various heating systems (applications) that the
ECL 2000 can be programmed to control. Chapter 6 also provides instructions for
wiring individual applications.
5.1 Starting the ECL 2000 for the First Time
The ECL 2000 is supplied with 14 (Type 1) or 17 (Type 2) pre-programmed heat-
ing applications. These standard system types accommodate a wide variety of plant
configurations.
Before the ECL 2000 is operational, you must select an application, i.e. tell the
controller which of the pre-programmed applications it must use to control your
plant. This is described on page 22.
Once you have selected an application, you have the possibility of customizing one
or more input/output settings. This is explained on page 23.
When the ECL 2000 is powered on, the controller
displays this Danfoss logo.
If the ECL 2000 has already been programmed with a pre-selected application, the
System Overview replaces the logo picture after a moment.
If no application is selected, the ECL 2000 automatically displays the Applica-
tion 1 picture (see page 22), allowing you to select an application. See instructions
on the following pages.
5.2 Resetting the ECL 2000
Note:
When the ECL 2000 is reset, all setup information is lost and the controller reverts
to factory settings. The reset function is normally only used by Danfoss service
staff for very special purposes.
To reset the ECL 2000:
1. Press
(the Mode button) and simultaneously.
After restarting, the ECL 2000 requests you to select an application. Proceed as
described on the following pages.
