System diagram 2A
Heat circuit and hot-water circuit with direct control of storage tank.
Heat circuit The motor valve M1 controls the flow temperature, which is measured by the sen-
sor S1. The return temperature measured by the sensor S2 can be limited. The cir-
culation pump P1 is running when the reference flow temperature is above 20 °C
or the outdoor temperature is below 2 °C.
Hot-water circuit ECL 2000 Type 1:
The motor valve M
(ON/OFF)
performs on/off control of the storage tank temperature,
which is measured by the sensor S6. The actuator M
(ON/OFF)
must be of a type that
opens/closes completely upon receiving a relay signal from the controller. The
circulation pump P2 is controlled according to the 7-day program.
ECL 2000 Type 2:
The motor valve M2 controls the storage tank temperature, which is measured by
the sensor S6. During tank heating, M2 performs PI regulation of the return tem-
perature in the hot-water circuit measured by S5. Because of the delay caused by
the storage tank and the return temperature control, the integral action must be dis-
abled. The circulation pump P2 is controlled according to the 7-day program.
Use the controller’s service menu to set the parameter
Integr. time to 0. This disables the integral action.
Appendix C of this Guide provides an overview of the
service menus. The ECL 2000 User’s Guide (ref. [2])
provides detailed instructions for operating the service
menus.
