Removing the display assembly

Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the wireless card.
3. Remove the fan.
4. Remove the heat sink.
Procedure
1. Open the latch and disconnect the finger-print reader cable from the system board.
2. Peel the tape that secures the touch-screen board cable and display cable to the system board.
3. Open the latch and disconnect the touch-screen board cable from the system board.
4. Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
5. Remove the touch-screen board cable and display cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
6. Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible.
CAUTION: Place the computer on a soft and clean surface to avoid scratching the display.
7. Turn the computer over.
8. Remove the seven screws (M2.5x5) that secure the display hinges to the I/O board and system board.
9. Lift the display assembly off the palm-rest assembly.
