Performance test of the optional bipolar socket
Plugging detection Testing and measuring equipment
Test setup
• The test specimen is connected via the VIO 3 electrosurgical unit to the
power supply.
Test procedure
1. Call up <Test Program Plugging recognition>.
2. Plug a 20196-053 bipolar cable into the bipolar socket. The test pro-
gram must perform the following actions on APC 3, slot 1:
– Connector type is detected: Display "not plugged" -> bipolar dis-
play.
– Plugging counter is increased by one: XM (=monopolar connector),
XB (=bipolar connector). The plugging counter can be reset using
"Reset"
3. Unplug cable.
4. Repeat the test with bipolar cable 20196-055.
5. Terminate the test program with <Close>.
6. Exit the Service settings.
