Viscosity
Viscosity grade of engine oil should be based on
average atmospheric temperature in your riding area.
The following provides a guide to the selection of the
proper grade or viscosity of oil to be used at various
atmospheric temperatures.

JASO T 903 Standard
The JASO T 903 standard is an index for engine oils
for 4-stroke motorcycle engines.
There are two classes: MA and MB.
Oil conforming to the standard is labeled on the oil
container. For example, the following label shows the
MA classification.

Suggested oil Honda ‘‘4-STROKE MOTORCYCLE
OIL’’ or equivalent.
Your motorcycle does not need oil additives. Use
the recommended oil.
Do not use oils with graphite or molybdenum
additives. They may adversely affect clutch operation.
Do not use API SH or higher oils displaying a
circular API ‘‘energy conserving’’ or “resource
conserving” service label on the container. They
may affect lubrication and clutch performance.
Do not use non-detergent, vegetable, or castor
based racing oil.
