4. REAR SHIELD
During normal use, the rear shield is subject to deterioration
and wear. Remove the grass bag and raise the discharge
guard. Check the rear shield for cracks or tears. If the rear
shield is worn, replace it (P. 1 2- 17
).

Grass bag Clean with a garden hose. Replace if worn or damaged. 3-8

Refill amount: 0.35 ~ 0.40L (12.0 ~ 13.5 oz)
Use SAE 10W-30 for general use.

Adjust so shaft is rotated fully clockwise at full throttle and to
achieve 2,950 - 3,100 rpm.

Fuel tank and strainer
Disconnect the fuel tube and remove the strainer from the bottom
of the tank. Clean and inspect.

Pinion gear
Clean and lubricate with grease. Use Honda Marine extreme
pressure NLGI #2 GC-LB grease or equivalent.
