ROCKER ARM SHAFT O.D.
Measure the rocker arm shaft O.D.
If the measurement is less than the service limit, replace the rocker
arm shaft.
CYLINDER SLEEVE I.D.
Measure and record the cylinder I.D. at three levels in both the “X”
axis (perpendicular to the crankshaft) and the “Y” axis (parallel to
the crankshaft). Take the maximum reading to determine the
cylinder wear and taper.
If the measurement is more than the service limit, replace the
cylinder.
Do not hone the cylinder.
PISTON SKIRT O.D.
Measure and record the piston O.D. at a point 10 mm (0.4 in) from
the bottom of the skirt and 90 degrees to the piston pin bore.
If the measurement is less than the service limit, replace the
piston.
PISTON-TO-CYLINDER CLEARANCE
Subtract the piston skirt O.D. from the cylinder sleeve I.D. to obtain
the piston-to-cylinder clearance.
If the calculated clearance is more than the service limit, replace
the piston and recheck the clearance.
If the clearance is still more than the service limit with the new
piston, replace the cylinder.
STANDARD: 5.960 – 5.990 mm (0.2346 – 0.2358 in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 5.953 mm (0.2344 in)
STANDARD: 60.000 – 60.015 mm (2.3622 – 2.3628 in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 60.165 mm (2.3687 in)
STANDARD: 59.970 – 59.990 mm (2.3610 – 2.3618 in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 59.850 mm (2.3563 in)
STANDARD: 0.010– 0.045 mm (0.0004 – 0.0018 in)
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.085 mm (0.0033 in)
