13. TRANSMISSION/DRIVE BELT
This chapter only applies to VKA, VLA, and VYA types.
1. TRANSMISSION/DRIVE BELT
VKA/VLA TYPES
REMOVAL
1. Drain the fuel tank (P. 3 -11
) and engine oil (P. 3 - 6 ).
2. Disconnect the spark plug cap (P. 3 - 8
).
3. Fully loosen the Smart Drive cable adjuster.
4. Protect the upper handlebar and tip the mower up and
rest the upper handlebar on a table top.
5. Remove the blades and blade holder.
6. Remove the belt guide.
7. Slide the drive pulley away from the engine and remove
the belt from the drive pulley.
